Character:
From the first moment I met Vicky, she just stole my heart. She had just lost ALL her coat and was looking a bit pathetic, but she came to me with a happy wagging tail, and even my tall dark husband was a bit suspicious, he got a nice wag tail too. Vicky is a sweetheart. She loves people, especially her own people. She is very social, can be slightly reserved with new people, but very quickly becomes friends. She is very eager to please and works happily. Sometimes she's so happy she forgets to concentrate on what we are doing...! She is very very balanced in her character, and she´ll take anything with a firm easy posture. She does not react to storms, fireworks or gunshots. She is solid as a rock. Vicky is very social with other dogs, but as I have learned to know her and seen her in several situations, she really really does not like small dogs with short hair. She can not stand those kinds of dogs, and I don't know why. Small dogs with a good coat are just fine. :) And as she has gained selfesteem in our pact, she has become a strong willed bitch. She will police everyone, but will not pick a fight. Now that she has been sterilized she has yet become even more playfull and getting soft with the youngsters too. Vicky has mainly become our therapy dog. She is always there for the kids and me, whatever comes. We have done some agility, obedience and herding, but we are not planning any competitions now. Maybe some veteran class shows for her :) Vicky is a quite big girl, 53cm high. She is a very strong producer in her character and struture. Her puppies @ shaking Tail have been pure gold. Vicky slept away peacefully in my arms in August 2017. She suffered from kidney failure due to chocolate poisoning a year earlier. She had a great last summer and left with her tail held high and boots on. My sweet Vicky. |
